Our film purpose follows a lot of conventions of a block buster film poster would. It includes the name of the film in a big sized font. A quote from a reviewer, the release date of the film as well as a billing block. This makes our poster look professional.
Our film links with the poster closely as you would expect with a professional poster. The font of the text used on both texts are the same.
The poster gives a professional feel to the film towards the audience. This can make people want to see the film more compared to if the poster was amateur.
Our magazine article further links the film to our ancillaries. This is a common feature of short films as they try to give as much information to the audience about the film without spoiling the narrative.
The combination between our film and the ancillary texts provides the film with a professional look before the audience even sees the film. It does as well not revealing the narrative of the film so it leaves enigmas the audience will want to be solved(by watching the film).

Text for ancillary
This film is based on an ordinary teenage boy who has just passed his driving test. After passing his driving test he quickly picks up two of his friends. After showing off his capabilities towards driving he then has a dilemma to deal with when he has two offers to do with social activities. The choice he now has to make is whether to stick with his original friends or move on to the girl of his dreams who has only begun showing an interest in him now that he can drive.
The main character is successfully acted by Jack Watkin whose only other acting role has been in the opening scene of the widely viewed "The last man standing". Given a larger role Watkin seemingly stepped up to the lead role in this short film, appearing confident and able in a role that required the camera to always be on him from a close range. It is also worth noting one of the major names that was able to act in this film. This actor being Liam Hodgson, yes the supposed antagonist who acted superbly in the opening scene of the film "Shadows". Once again Liam, does not disappoint playing the role of the quiet friend perfectly in the back of the car. The other friend was played by Ismail Hemamou a new upcoming actor from Morocco. Speaking near perfect English after only moving to the United Kingdom three years ago, he acts well but can only get better.
From the directors point of view I would be glad with what has been done on a extremely tight budget and tight filming schedule. The simplicity of the film comes form the one shot throughout the film using only a GoPro mounted on the front of the inside of the car. In this way this film is similar to another short film that we would highly recommend in Orange Drive however this is intentional with the director announcing that he drew a lot of inspiration from that film.
Overall we rate this film. Believing that it does promote a good moral message and does make you think throughout the film. The acting in the film is well done with special praise going the lead actor in Jack Watkin in his first major role. We give this film a 4/5!!!!

Audience Feedback- Double Page spread
We showed our double page spread to our class to get some feedback. Our double page spread is a magazine review based of another real life poster from Empire magazine. We showed our class mates to get a fair review.
Overall our double paged spread got mixed reviews. The majority said it looked good and was well done in the layout as well as the image working well with what our film represented. However 3 people believed that the image could look just a bit more professional. We are now going to alter our magazine spread just a bit to make it look more professional. We will look more carefully at professional spreads to try and end up with a higher standard of review page. We believe we can do this by filling in the small details which will hopefully make the review page that bit more professional.

Ancillary research
Luckily this can stay the same as our ancillaries won't be too far off what we were planning to do before. Mainly just a different photo to represent the new film and what we are trying to promote from this film. The photo we aim to take will have to include the car as well as the main actor who will be Jack as he has access to a car, making it easier for us to film regularly. We just need to stick to many of the typical short film poster and double page spread review conventions. Such as the billing information at the bottom of the poster and the main thing to do with the film in the centre of the poster.
Target audience
For our new film we believe that our film will be able to target a wide array of ages and classes but mainly people of the age 15-24 and a class of C1. This is because of the age of the actors in the film as well as the situations that arise in the film. People of the age 15-24 will probably be able to relate to the film the most however most people will probably be able to therefore the chances of our target audience expanding to include people from above the age of 24 is quite likely. While classes are quite open but once again people of the class of C1 and above or just below may find that they can relate a lot easier than others.

Inspiration for our new idea
With our new film idea involving the change of a teenagers social life after he passes his driving test we mainly drew inspiration from another students short film by the name of "Orange Drive" from this short film we noticed that it was all done in one shot and seemed quite a simple but effective idea to just show the main character always in their car. As we didn't have much time to complete our new idea we believed that this sort of film may be easiest.

Double page spread inspirations
I have found some examples of double page spreads of films from the movie magazine empire. We our using these designs for inspiration for our double page spread. As they are from all the same magazine, most of them have a similar layout.
2). This design is dominated by one image and has a simple layout on the right. It has a nice colour scheme and a little box of facts about the film which is nice.
3). This design is very similar to the last one except it has one slightly smaller image so it can add an extra image in the bottom right. This one is goob but I find it doesn't seem as affective as the last one
This featured in the last two double page spread. I am going to use this in our double page spread as it is simple but looks good and professional.
4). This is similar to number two. It is dominated by one image but has different colour scheme and visuals like the iconic gun barrel designs around the 007. This is a nice affect and we want to try and use something like this.

A change of plan
After having an attempt at the bucket list idea we realised that the film that we had created was rather boring and just wasn't good enough. We spoke to our teacher about this and she agreed. We then proceeded to come up with a new idea as the previous bucket list idea didn't really have too much potential. The new idea that we have come up with is about a teenager who has just passed his driving test and can now drive his car independently. He then picks up two of his friends but at one moment he has to choose between seeing them and a girl who has had a crush on but has never been interested in him, until he could drive.
Audience Feedback Poster
This is the poster we are using, We got some good feedback for our editing and the text we used was suitable to the mood of our poster.
The only thing that people picked up on was the relevance to the film. Some people believed that there wasn't a strong link between our poster and our film. However others did and we got mainly praised for our effort into the poster.

Audience Feedback Video
In order to get feedback we showed our video to the class. Then at the end of the viewing the class then gave feedback on the film. Our first draft of the film received mostly negative reviews with a lot of people noticeably looking bored throughout the 6 minutes and questioning whether the ideas we came up with where actually life changing. To be fair the audience was correct so we sat down with our teacher and then we spoke about what should change.
We came to a conclusion of that we should start over on our film. This means that we will have to: Plan, Film and Edit our film in a smaller amount of time. We were fine with this as we weren't pleased with what our last film was like in the end.

What we learnt from the audience Feedback
We learnt from the audience feedback that we should take into account the weather on the day of shooting. We will be looking at the weather now for both our main task and for the ancillary task. Not only for the quality of the Mise en Scene. But so that the equipment doesn't get damaged. We may also want a particular type of weather such as Overcast or Sunny. As well as coming up with better bucket list ideas which are not only more enthralling and interesting for the audience to watch but to also actually be life changing which is what a bucket list is all about.
During the Editing stage we will have to incorporate the: Actors names, Title, and Release date. Previously we didn't do this as we where running out of time. Hopefully with a bit more time we can input these things which will greatly improve the opening of our film.

6 Bucket List ideas for our film
These are the 6 ideas that we have came up with for the character to take part in -
- Ghost pepper challenge with others
- Sightseeing (Windsor Castle)
- Driving
- Learn to say hello in 5 different languages
- Conquer a fear
- 11-a side football

Ancillary task inspirations (Double Page Spread)
The reason to why i believe that this is an inspiration for our film is that it fits in well with what aim to do for our film review page where we plan to use a number of images with less emphasis being put on the text of the review. I also quite like the structure and layout of this review and hope that we could possibly replicate it to a degree with our review.
This poster is also an inspiration for us as it is similar to what we aim to do for our poster with the main character being the focal point of the poster. The layout of this film poster is simple but noticeable something which we aim to do as we only have a limited time to create this poster.
This students work is near enough what we are looking for with quite a few images and a bit of text at the bottom.

Ancillary review review
This is an example of a students review of their own short film. As you can see from the above image this poster includes many images from the film with the largest image showing a girl who can probably be judged as the main character.
In the top left is the name of the film while there is an overall judgement with quote from a reviewer in the top right corner. This gives the film authenticity and if the person or company giving the review are a big name then it can influence people to go and see the film.
With this double page spread this group has opted to include more images with less writing and in my opinion the images they have chosen are both clear and gripping. Which gives a good impression to the audience who are reading the article to go and watch the film.
This review however is quite basic with only a basic level of text and colours being used showing that not much effort has been put into this ancillary task though this could be put down to a number of things.

Garage band Research and Planning
Garage band is a free music on software OS X and iOS that allows to create a piece of music. The music is usually very basic and is restricted as it gives you pre-made pieces of music to string together instead of creating your music from notes. This makes it easy for beginners or people who don't play an instrument to create a piece of music. There are a list of genres on the right of the screen, this makes it easy for the user to navigate through the different types of music and to find the right sounding clip for their music piece.
We are using this program as it is easy to use and free, also
